Ph.D. Dusko Pejovic, President of the State Audit Institution of the Republic of Serbia, and Jovo Radukic Auditor General of the Republika Srpska signed a cooperation agreement between the two audit institutions.
During the one-day visit of the delegation of the Supreme Office for the Republic of Srpska Public Sector Auditing to Belgrade, a working meeting of the management of both institutions was organized, where they discussed about the professional cooperation of the two audit institutions and possible modalities for pursuing certain professional activities in the future.
As one of the areas of cooperation between the SAIs Mr. Pejović cited conducting parallel audits, especially performance audits whose topics can be important to citizens of both countries.
The leaders of both institutions also emphasized the organization of joint trainings, workshops, seminars in the field of external auditing of the public sector, as well as exchange of experience in translating and applying INTOSAI standards and other professional regulations.
For us, this Cooperation Agreement is very important and we hope that in the coming period we will cooperate more intensively in order to strengthen institutions and financial discipline in our countries, said the Auditor General of Republika Srpska Мr.Jovo Radukić.
