Božana Trninić holds a degree in Economics and has extensive professional experience in the fields of public finance, accounting, financial management and external audit.
She began her professional career in 1988, working in the areas of planning, financial analysis and accounting. During this period, she gained experience in both professional and managerial positions in the public and private sectors, including managing accounting functions and financial management activities.
Since 2002, she has been professionally engaged in the field of external public sector audit. She served as Deputy Auditor General at the Audit Office of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 2016 to 2018, she served as Executive Director for Economic and Accounting Affairs at the Postal Traffic Company a.d. Banja Luka.
At the Supreme Audit Office of the Republic of Srpska Public Sector, she previously served as Deputy Auditor General and currently holds the position of Auditor General of the Republic of Srpska. In this capacity, she is responsible for the strategic management of the institution, the development and enhancement of audit methodology, strengthening the quality of audit work, and promoting the principles of transparency, accountability and good governance in the public sector, in accordance with internationally recognised INTOSAI principles and standards.
Throughout her professional career, she has continuously pursued professional development in the fields of accounting and auditing, obtaining professional qualifications as a Certified Accountant and Certified Auditor.
