The representative of the Supreme Audit Office of the Republic of Srpska Public Sector Dr. Bojan Ćurić – Senior Auditor for Financial Audit, attended the seminar on the topic “The Role and Influence of Supreme Audit Institutions on the Implementation and Development of Regional Policies” and the 9th Annual Meeting of the EUROSAI WGMA Working Group on Municipal Audit in Riga (Latvia) from 15 to 17 September 2025.
The seminar was attended by over 50 participants and experts from 22 countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Greece, Ukraine, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria, Georgia, Montenegro …).
Topics related to audit activities in the planning and implementation of regional policies in municipalities and cities were discussed, during which the main challenges, findings, and recommendations on this topic were presented, followed by discussions. During the IX Annual Meeting of the EUROSAI WGMA Working Group, the activities and results of the Working Group from 2025 were discussed, as well as plans and activities for 2026.
Considering the importance of municipal audits, and the intention to further develop audit methodology, exchange best practices and experiences, and contribute to the improvement of the municipal audit system, the Supreme Audit Office of the Republic of Srpska Public Sector became a member of this working group in 2016.
