A regional conference on the strategic dialogue of Supreme Audit Institutions was held at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in Belgrade, bringing together representatives from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Moldova, and Slovakia.
Representatives of the Main Audit Service of the Public Sector of Republika Srpska also participated in the event, including Auditor General Božana Trninić and Senior Performance Auditor Daliborka Milijević. The objective of the two-day conference was to strengthen cooperation and facilitate the planning of parallel performance audits related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event was organized with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as part of the regional project “Smart Finance for Responsible Local Governance,” funded by the Slovak Republic. Participants emphasized that parallel audits contribute to greater transparency, strengthen local control systems, and deliver direct benefits to citizens through higher-quality public services.
